In order to improve productivity and more quickly integrate new hires, A manufacturer of pressure sensitive tapes hired ESTM to develop a comprehensive operator training program for their manufacturing operation. ESTM worked with supervisors and factory staff to understand work flow in the plant, and the work procedures, safety requirements, quality standards and best practices for each piece of equipment and each position on the factory floor.  We then developed a training program, including  certification criteria and exams, for each position in the plant. All of the training programs used a modular design so that they could be expanded/modified by the company as procedures and equipment changed.  ESTM conducted the initial set of employee training classes, and trained in-house instructors so that the company could independently conduct these classes in the future. 

The training programs received high marks from employees and management, and achieved their original objectives of improving productivity and expediting the integration of new hires.  As a result of the program's success, the development and delivery of training modules has become a standard part of the rollout process for new product lines and equipment in the plant.
