Overview of Six Sigma for
Software Development and Information Technology |

| This one day course presents
an overview of Six Sigma with emphasis on its application to software
development and IT. Participants will obtain an understanding of the
Six Sigma methodology, including Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and process improvement (DMAIC). In addition, they will acquire a
working knowledge of software-specific Six Sigma concepts, tools and
techniques, and gain an appreciation of the practical considerations
associated with implementing Six Sigma in software development and IT
environments. |

executives, managers, project leaders and software development
professionals who wish to learn how to apply these powerful techniques to
improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their software development and

Yellow Belt, Green Belt and
Black Belt Training Programs |

| All of these training programs cover
software-specific Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and process improvement (DMAIC)
methods, feature hands-on training, and are designed to provide

their work environment. |

Yellow Belt
Training: This 5 day course provides basic
training in Six Sigma for software development and IT concepts, techniques
and tools. It is designed for managers and individual contributors
who will be directly involved in Six Sigma projects, or responsible for
the implementation of solutions developed by Six Sigma project teams.
Participants will receive Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification on
successful completion of the course. |

Green Belt
Training: This 10 day course provides in-depth
training in software-specific Six Sigma concepts, tools and techniques,
including extensive coverage of statistical methods and tools, and equips
participants with the skills required to lead Six Sigma project teams.
The course requires the completion of a company project, and the
combination of instruction and project work is spread over 2 months.
Participants will receive Six Sigma Green Belt certification on
successful completion of the course.. |

Black Belt
Training: This 20 day course provides advanced
training in software-specific Six Sigma concepts, tools and techniques,
including advanced statistical method and tools, and equips participants
with the knowledge and skills required to serve their organizations as
experts in the application of six sigma to software development and
IT. The course requires the completion of company project, and the
combination of instruction and project work is spread over 3 months.
Participants will receive Six Sigma Black Belt certification on
successful completion of the course. |
